Todd and I have pretty good luck at moving in to places that have lots of trees with fruit or nuts! When we first got married we lived in a trailer which we rented from Julie & Deron. In the yard of the trailer there was an apple tree, two walnut trees, and along the fence our neighbor had grapes!!! Talk about having a variety of snacks every day!! Now that we have bought a house we have a crab apple tree (which I'm not too sure if I will like the tart taste of them), & an apricot tree. We also now have raspberry bushes thanks for some WONDERFUL neighbors down the street. ;)So far this year we have only had apricots to eat!!! Our raspberries are slowly starting to get red and juicy! Unfortunately, I think the birds ate more apricots than we did... but they were soooooooo delicious!!! We even had our wonderful neighbors coming down the street to taste them!!! They picked a bunch to make apricot jam!!
I haven't ever been a huge fan of apricots but these apricots were FANTASTIC!!! I picked a bowl full while Todd mowed the lawn and then we went inside and had a delicious snack!!!I am hoping next year that we will get even more apricots than this year!!! :)

They were the best I've ever eaten! I saved pits so that I could try and plant a tree....we'll see what kind of green thumb I have...ha ha ha
Not sure on apricots. I've had them before but it's been so long that I don't remember if I like them or not.
One of our apricot trees is planted over the front porch and makes a huge mess and then the racoons always come and hiss at us. But I love the fruit for freezer jam!
