LAGOON!!! -- It's What Fun Is!!!

A few weeks ago Todd & I took our own little trip to Lagoon. It was a blast!!! We got there a few minutes after it opened and headed straight for "The Wicked." We only had to wait in line a max of 10 minutes!!! It was wonderful!!! Even after we got off of the ride we could have jumped back in line for another very short wait. Instead we decided to go ride on all of our other favorites before those lines got crowded. We went on the colossus, the scrambler, the "snow cone" ride (i think it's called tilt a whirl), the bumper cars, Rattle Snake Rapids, and a few more before we realized none of the lines had gotten long! We had went on almost all of our favorite rides probably within the first 1 1/2 - 2 hours we were there. Usually on a hot Saturday like this one, you'd be lucky to have gone on two or three of your favorite rides within 2 hours. We decided it was time for lunch, we went back out to the truck and brought in our food to have a wonderful picnic. After we finished eating we decided it was time for LAGOON-A-BEACH!!! We took our cooler back to the truck and grabbed our swimming suits. We headed to Lagoon-A-Beach (which was expected to reach maximum capacity that day) for a nice splash! We walked into the water park to the surprise that it wasn't any more busy than the rest of the rides! We grabbed some tubes & headed to the Lazy River. We had so much fun relaxing in the Lazy River and just talking and enjoying the sunshine! We went on a few water slides and then back to the Lazy River. In the Lazy River, there was a bunch of people that had started a "train" and we connected on, along with a few others, and enjoyed the ride! It was sooooo much easier to float through all the little kids and everyone else when you are riding with the big "train" that goes just about the full length around the Lazy River. A few times, someone would be the "puller" at the front of the train and pull the entire train about half way around the river. It was a blast!!! After about an hour or two of splashing in the water & floating on our tubes we decided to go layout to dry off. We went back to "our spot" and laid out our towels and took a little bit of a rest. I obviously THINKING I would get a tan laid out in the sunshine while Todd laid in the shade to dry. Of course we both came home with sunburns....
After we dried off at Lagoon-A-Beach we headed back out into the park for a few more rides!!! We rode the planes, the sky coaster, took pictures of kangaroos and played a few games. We tried the mini golf, which unfortunately didn't work out as well as we'd hoped but was still fun for the moment. We went to the "Guessing Booth" where the person has to either guess our Age - within three year, or our Birthday - within three months, or our weight - within three pounds. Todd always has them guess his weight because they always get it wrong and he wins a prize! This time Todd won a stuffed frog. I usually think they can't guess my age (but usually they are close enough), and so I usually try to have them guess my birthday (and somehow they always guess that too), and well usually they guess my weight pretty close also. This time I figured since I had gained a few more pounds than I would like to have gained since last year, I figured I would have them guess my weight. And lucky for me they guessed wrong (I'm not sure if I want to know what they guessed I weighed). I won a prize and picked a giant blow up pink crayon! It was the prize that looked the biggest so I took it! :)
We had a wonderful time at Lagoon! And I almost always wish that we lived out there in the Summer and could get a Season Pass and go almost everyday, even if just to go to Lagoon-A-Beach for the evening. I guess I will just have to keep surviving in this little town till the one weekend of the summer I get to go to Lagoon!
