For the 4th of July, Todd & I decided that we would have a big bbq with both of our families... well my family had just come over for a bbq in the last week so they decided they were going to do something else to celebrate. We ended up inviting Todd's family & the rest of the Wilkerson's around here. It was so much fun!!!
After I got home from the wave pool, Todd & I quickly (VERY quickly) got everything ready. From thawing the burger, to mixing two kool-aids at once, to baking a cake for dessert... an hour later the family starting arriving. Todd fired up the bbq grill and started making burgers and hot dogs. I do have to say that Todd is a VERY talented bbq'er for burgers!!! We had everything for a bbq... burgers, hot dogs, chips, salad, watermelon, cake, & more... (we just forgot the pineapple).
After the splendid bbq we lite up some of our own fireworks for a fantastic display. I was a little worried with Cameron & my two younger brother's helping me light them all.... but it turned out great! About as soon as we finished with our own fireworks the city started shooting of their fireworks off the mountain.
All in all it was a very busy, but very enjoyable 4th of July holiday! Todd and I are thinking we might just have to make it a tradition. :)
